Fort Wayne Entrepreneur Helps Salvation Army Meet Goal
Struggling annual Red Kettle Campaign receives large personal donation
FORT WAYNE, IN., December 27, 2016- R. Bruce Dye, CEO of Brigadoon Fitness and King of Carts, stepped forward again this year to help the Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign reach its goal.
With just days before the end of this year’s Red Kettle Campaign, the word was spreading fast that the Salvation Army was pacing far behind last year’s results. On December 21st, the campaign was only around 58% of its objective.
Mr. Dye, along with another prominent local business man, Bill Bean, joined forces and answered the call by donating $100,000 in the last hours of the Salvation Army campaign. This put the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle campaign where it needed to be.
“There was a need and we helped fulfill it, as did thousands of others in our region,” said Brigadoon Fitness CEO and humanitarian R. Bruce Dye. “The Salvation Army does incredible work through social service programs and youth programs, and we want to help make sure those services flourish in 2017,” said Dye.
